Recap of the Jan 22nd 2010 Show!

Take It or Leave It Radio is offically back and with a BANG! After an amazing time the week before with Face the King (www.myspace.com/facethekingband) this week was even better!

With all of the misc. glitches fixed and out of the way we were ready for action! For the new year and new era of Take It Or Leave It Radio ahead of us I took the time we had off during the holidays to Try and break down our format and see where we can make improvements... After redesigning internal aspects of the show and creating a bunch of new production we started our search to bring in a female cohost! Kevin and I had spoke about doing this for a while as we felt this would not only broaden out target market but bring in ideas, views, opinions and conversations up that we've never had on the air before! However it wasn't as easy as "hey who do we know?" and after a good try by Kevin fell apart I took the search to craigslist not knowing what, if anything would come out of it.

To my suprise we got a good response from our post and after exchanging emails and text messages with a few of them I was confident we may find what we are looking for!

Now knowing that the female spot on TIOLI Radio has failed a few times in the past I wanted to try and make sure that didn't happen again so I thought what may make this whole situtation better for us may be to try and bring in two girls to the show this way we don't subject one to all that is TIOLI and perhaps add some depth to the show if we get the right girls with the right balance!

Last Friday (Jan 22nd 2010) we met with two of the girls that replied to the craiglist post before the show! We went to De Cup as a public place I think is best to meet new people... Just incase lol! Anyway it worked perfectly! Leah and Rachel were awesome! After breaking down what the show is about and finding out a little bit more about each of them we went right in to talking about show prep! HOLY SHIT did I just say show prep?!? Yeah! I gave my first homework assignment to the guys and it worked! And perhaps because of it the show ended up running so smoothely! After our waitress took nine years to get us our drinks we headed back to the studio running late but with both girls!!

Show time! We powered up the studio as fast as we could and BOOM we were on our way! We kinda skipped formal introductions for the listeners of our lively guests but i guess if/when the girls come back we'll have a better meet and greet for everyone!

The girls proved to make an impact early on the show as our boy Lou called in from Bing and was getting "rubbed off" by Rachel!

Another plus was shortly after I had one of my "I wonder what a girl would..." question in which I didn't have to wonder I could just turn to my side and ask now!

What really made me think "hey this is really gonna work" is when Bob got into his jersey girl story then to his new love then to top it off the long conversation about morning sex which was a great talking point!

Besides that I had to make sure they knew the extent of our content so throughout the show I tried to bring up every disgusting, gross, sexual thing I could think of to see if they were cool with it and they didn't run away to our suprise!
